Amatir ID APRS adalah aplikasi klien APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) untuk operator radio amatir yang telah memiliki izin amatir radio (callsign). Kebijakan ini menjelaskan data apa saja yang diproses aplikasi dan mengapa.
Lokasi (GPS). Digunakan untuk dua hal: (1) menampilkan posisi Anda di peta secara lokal, dan (2) jika fitur beacon Anda aktifkan, menyusun paket posisi APRS yang dikirim ke jaringan APRS-IS agar stasiun lain bisa melihat Anda — ini adalah fungsi inti protokol APRS dan bersifat siaran publik, sama seperti stasiun APRS lain di seluruh dunia. Izin lokasi latar belakang ("Izinkan sepanjang waktu") hanya diminta jika Anda mengaktifkan "Tetap mengirim beacon di latar belakang"; tanpa itu, lokasi hanya diakses saat aplikasi terbuka. Anda juga bisa memilih "posisi manual" (stasiun tetap) alih-alih GPS langsung. Data lokasi tidak dikirim ke server mana pun milik pengembang aplikasi ini — hanya ke jaringan APRS-IS (dan, jika Anda mengaktifkannya, ke server backfill opsional yang dijelaskan di bawah).
Callsign dan passcode APRS-IS. Disimpan di penyimpanan aman perangkat (encrypted storage), digunakan hanya untuk autentikasi ke server APRS-IS yang Anda pilih. Tidak pernah dikirim ke pihak lain.
Data yang diterima dari APRS-IS. Paket posisi, pesan, dan status stasiun lain yang Anda terima adalah data publik yang disiarkan oleh operator radio amatir lain melalui jaringan APRS-IS — aplikasi ini hanya menampilkannya, tidak memodifikasi atau mendistribusikannya lebih lanjut selain menyimpan cache lokal sementara di perangkat Anda untuk kinerja offline.
Bluetooth. Jika Anda menghubungkan TNC (Terminal Node Controller) eksternal untuk mode radio (RF/AFSK), aplikasi menggunakan izin Bluetooth hanya untuk berkomunikasi dengan perangkat TNC tersebut. Tidak ada data Bluetooth yang dikirim keluar dari perangkat Anda.
Notifikasi. Digunakan untuk menampilkan status layanan latar belakang (foreground service) yang sedang berjalan — wajib dari sistem Android, bukan untuk pemasaran.
Jika Anda mengaktifkan "Backfill server URL" di Pengaturan, aplikasi akan meminta data posisi stasiun terbaru di area peta Anda dari server tersebut (dioperasikan oleh pengembang atau pihak yang Anda pilih sendiri). Server ini hanya menyimpan data siaran APRS publik (callsign, posisi, waktu) untuk jangka waktu singkat (biasanya beberapa jam) sebagai cache performa — bukan data pribadi Anda secara khusus, dan tidak memerlukan login atau akun. Permintaan ke server ini menyertakan koordinat area peta yang sedang Anda lihat.
Semua pengaturan dan cache stasiun disimpan lokal di perangkat Anda. Menghapus data aplikasi atau meng-uninstall aplikasi akan menghapus semuanya. Data yang telah Anda siarkan ke jaringan APRS-IS (sebagai paket publik) berada di luar kendali aplikasi ini, sebagaimana lazimnya siaran radio amatir.
Sesuai UU No. 27 Tahun 2022 tentang Pelindungan Data Pribadi (UU PDP), Anda berhak meminta informasi, koreksi, atau penghapusan data pribadi yang diproses aplikasi ini (sejauh berlaku, mengingat sebagian besar data yang diproses adalah siaran publik APRS yang sifatnya melekat pada protokol tersebut, bukan data yang dikumpulkan secara privat oleh aplikasi). Aplikasi ini tidak ditujukan untuk anak-anak dan mengasumsikan pengguna adalah pemegang izin amatir radio yang sah.

Amatir ID APRS is an APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) client app for licensed amateur radio operators. This policy explains what data the app processes and why.
Location (GPS). Used for two things: (1) showing your position on the local map, and (2) if you enable beaconing, building the APRS position packet sent to the APRS-IS network so other stations can see you — this is core APRS functionality and is public by design, the same as any other APRS station worldwide. Background location ("Allow all the time") is only requested if you enable "Keep beaconing in background"; otherwise location is only read while the app is open. You may also choose a "manual position" (fixed station) instead of live GPS. Location data is never sent to any server operated by this app's developer — only to the APRS-IS network and, if you enable it, the optional backfill server described below.
Callsign and APRS-IS passcode. Stored in the device's secure/encrypted storage, used only to authenticate to the APRS-IS server you choose. Never sent anywhere else.
Data received from APRS-IS. Position packets, messages, and station status from other operators are public data broadcast by other amateur radio operators over the APRS-IS network — the app only displays it, storing a temporary local cache on your device for offline performance.
Bluetooth. If you connect an external TNC (Terminal Node Controller) for RF/AFSK mode, Bluetooth permission is used only to talk to that TNC device. No Bluetooth data leaves your device.
Notifications. Used to show the status of the running background (foreground) service — required by Android, not for marketing.
If you enable a "Backfill server URL" in Settings, the app requests recent station positions for your current map area from that server (operated by the developer or a party you choose yourself). That server stores only public APRS broadcast data (callsign, position, timestamp) for a short period (typically a few hours) as a performance cache — not personal data specific to you — and requires no login or account. Requests to it include the map area coordinates you're currently viewing.
All settings and the station cache are stored locally on your device. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes everything. Data you have already broadcast to the APRS-IS network (as public packets) is outside this app's control, as is standard for amateur radio transmissions.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including Indonesia's Law No. 27/2022 on Personal Data Protection), you may have the right to request information, correction, or deletion of personal data processed by this app — to the extent applicable, given that most processed data is inherent public APRS broadcast traffic rather than privately collected data. This app is not directed at children and assumes users hold a valid amateur radio license.
